1. Project Overview & Land Sizes

๐Ÿ“ Location: Battambang City (easy access, ~3 km from Lok Ta Dambong Kra Nhoung and opposite AKD School). ๐ŸŒ Website: kunkhmerboxing.com

The land stretches 50 meters long and is purposely divided into two continuous parts for circulation and safety:

  • Front section: 28 m ร— 7 m (street frontage for access and high-flow zones)
  • Back section: 22 m ร— 8 m (extra width for the ring and building)

Total area: 372 mยฒ (196 mยฒ + 176 mยฒ). The architecture honors traditional Khmer martial art style with subtle old Khmer motifs. The main covered training span features a 30 m ร— 7 m roof at 4 m height for shade, airflow, and weather protection.

2. Zone 1 โ€“ Main Gate Area (1 m ร— 7 m) โ€“ first from the street

As you step from the street, you enter through a dignified Khmer-style gateway. Two decorative columns and an arcade frame the entrance, while a central Hanuman fighter statue celebrates Khmer heritage. Dual sliding steel gates (2 m ร— 2 m each) include the inscription โ€œKKB KUN KHMER BOXINGโ€. This narrow threshold is intentionalโ€”security, identity, and a ceremonial welcome in one.

3. Zone 2 โ€“ Parking Area (10 m ร— 7 m)

Immediately after the gate is a compact, open-air parking zone sized for membersโ€™ motorbikes and small cars. Clear lanes and perpendicular bike slots keep arrivals smooth during busy class changes. No roof hereโ€”just smart drainage and lighting.

4. Zone 3 โ€“ Fitness & Bodyweight Workout Area (10 m ร— 7 m, roof height 4 m)

This covered bay supports daily conditioning: bodyweight rigs, calisthenics stations, mobility and core work. The 4 m roof safeguards sessions from sun and rain while allowing airflow. For home ideas, see our home training and workouts sections.

5. Zone 4 โ€“ Boxing Training Area (10 m ร— 7 m, roof height 4 m)

Here youโ€™ll find the bread-and-butter tools of Kun Khmer: heavy bags, pads, wall targets, and open floor for pad rounds and footwork drills. Coaches run technical progressions for all levelsโ€”from beginners to advanced techniques. Want to study history and culture? Visit our heritage guide.

6. Zone 5 โ€“ Boxing Ring Area (10 m ร— 8 m)

The back portion widens to 8 meters for a professional, international-standard 7 m ร— 7 m ring with movement clearance all around. Sparring etiquette, safety gear, and match prep happen here. Catch replays and monthly action on our training videos page and stay up to date with the latest schedules.

7. Zone 6 โ€“ Garden Area (~8 m ร— 2 m)

A slim, open strip reserved for shade trees and benches. This calm pocket is perfect for cooldowns, quiet conversations after tough rounds, and community events. Nature + breath = better recovery ๐ŸŒฟ.

8. Zone 7 โ€“ Housing & Facilities Building (8 m ร— 8 m) โ€“ farthest from the street

At the north end, the two-level block (private stair) supports training camps and visiting athletes:

  • Ground floor: 2 public showers, 2 WCs, 2 urinals, plus compact fighter rooms (as space allows).
  • Upper floor: a large private room with separate shower + WC and a balcony terrace overlooking the club.
