KKB Kun Khmer Boxing Battambang Club & Gym is one of the fastest-growing Kun Khmer boxing clubs in Battambang, Cambodia. Our club combines traditional Cambodian martial arts, modern training methods, youth development, international visitors and community projects to promote the rich heritage of Kun Khmer (គុនខ្មែរ) around the world.

Located only a few minutes from the centre of Battambang, KKB welcomes children, women, beginners, amateur competitors, professional fighters and international visitors. Every training session focuses on technique, discipline, respect, physical conditioning and continuous improvement while preserving the authentic spirit of Cambodia’s national martial art.

2. Why KKB Was Created 🇰🇭

KKB Kun Khmer Boxing Battambang Club & Gym was created with a simple but ambitious objective: to help preserve, develop and promote Kun Khmer (គុនខ្មែរ), Cambodia’s national martial art, while creating opportunities for local children and young athletes.

Kun Khmer is far more than a combat sport. It represents centuries of Cambodian history, discipline, courage and cultural identity. Many talented young people, however, face financial difficulties that limit their opportunities to train regularly, compete or purchase proper equipment.

KKB was therefore founded not only as a boxing club, but also as a long-term community project where sport becomes a tool for education, confidence, discipline and personal development.

Today, our mission extends beyond the walls of the gym. Through Kunkhmerboxing.com, KKB contributes to documenting fighters, coaches, clubs, competitions, rankings, results and the history of Kun Khmer, helping preserve Cambodia’s martial heritage for future generations.

5. KKB Opening Days & Training Hours ⏰ | ថ្ងៃបើក និងម៉ោងហ្វឹកហាត់ KKB

KKB is open for regular group training from Tuesday to Saturday. Sessions are generally organised from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Athletes should arrive around 15 minutes early to prepare, wrap their hands and begin the warm-up on time.

KKB does not present these amounts as fixed commercial prices. They are suggested training contributions provided as a practical guide for visitors. The contribution can be confirmed with the club before arrival and may change depending on the session, coach, group size or special activity.

Private lessons, family sessions, school visits, sports clubs and organised groups are available by appointment. Monday is reserved primarily for these bookings, although another time may sometimes be arranged depending on coach availability.

8. International-Standard Boxing Ring 🥊🌍

One of the biggest milestones in the history of KKB Kun Khmer Boxing Battambang Club & Gym was the installation of the first permanent international-standard boxing ring in Battambang City.

The ring measures 6.1 metres by 6.1 metres and allows KKB to organise high-quality technical training, interclub exchanges, demonstrations, exhibitions and, in the future, official activities involving Cambodian and international fighters.

The ring represents more than equipment. It symbolises the ambition of KKB to become an important centre for Kun Khmer development in Battambang while giving local children access to professional-quality facilities.

9. KKB Kids Program 👦👧

Children are at the heart of the KKB project. Every week, young athletes train at our club to improve physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline and respect while discovering the traditions of Kun Khmer.

For many children, the boxing club is much more than a place to train. It is a positive environment where they learn perseverance, teamwork, responsibility and healthy habits.

Training sessions are adapted according to age and experience. Beginners first learn balance, movement, coordination and correct technique before progressing toward more advanced exercises.
