KKB Kun Khmer Boxing is an independent Kun Khmer development project based in Battambang, Cambodia. It brings together a local training club, young fighter development, interclub cooperation, an international-size boxing ring, an expanding sports database and a digital media network dedicated to promoting Kun Khmer in Cambodia and worldwide.

2. The KKB Mission | បេសកកម្មរបស់ KKB

KKB’s central mission is to help Kun Khmer grow from its grassroots while preserving its Cambodian identity. The project seeks to create opportunities for children, support coaches, develop fighters and make trustworthy Kun Khmer information accessible to a global audience.

The physical club and the digital platform support each other. The club provides real training, fighters, coaches and community activity. The media and database make these people and their work more visible.

3. KKB Club & Gym in Battambang | ក្លឹប និងកន្លែងហ្វឹកហាត់ KKB នៅបាត់ដំបង

KKB Kun Khmer Boxing Club & Gym is located in Battambang, one of Cambodia’s most important cultural and sporting provinces. The club was developed from previously undeveloped land into a functional training environment.

The facilities include covered training space, mats, punching bags, training equipment and an international-size boxing ring. The objective is to offer young fighters a safe and serious place in which to learn, practise and progress.

4. Free Kun Khmer Training for Children | ការហ្វឹកហាត់គុនខ្មែរឥតគិតថ្លៃសម្រាប់កុមារ

One of KKB’s priorities is to provide free Kun Khmer training to children and young people who may not otherwise have access to structured sporting activities.

Training is not limited to striking techniques. Young students also learn:

Discipline and respect;
Physical coordination and fitness;
Listening and cooperation;
Confidence and emotional control;
Safe training habits;
Commitment to a team and community.

5. Coaches and Fighter Development | គ្រូបង្វឹក និងការអភិវឌ្ឍកីឡាករ

A club cannot operate sustainably without committed local coaches. KKB works with Cambodian trainers who teach technique, conditioning, discipline, sparring and practical fight preparation.

KKB’s coaching team includes experienced local figures such as Chea Yuta Aka and Chaut Samnang. Founder and president Robert Grégoire contributes to the organisation, financing, development and international visibility of the project.

6. KKB International Boxing Ring | សង្វៀនប្រដាល់ខ្នាតអន្តរជាតិរបស់ KKB

KKB has installed a fixed international-size boxing ring measuring approximately 6.1 × 6.1 metres. The ring gives young athletes an opportunity to become familiar with realistic competition conditions before entering public events.

The ring cost approximately USD 3,600 and was produced with the involvement of local Khmer workers and craftspeople. This investment supports both fighter development and the local economy.

7. Interclubs and Community Cooperation | Interclub និងកិច្ចសហការសហគមន៍

KKB regularly works with other Kun Khmer clubs in and around Battambang. Sunday interclub sessions allow fighters from different teams to train together, test their skills and gain experience in a controlled environment.

These exchanges are built on cooperation rather than rivalry. When possible, KKB also provides meals, drinking water and practical support to participating young fighters.

KKB welcomes local students, Cambodian clubs and international visitors. Training can be adapted for beginners, experienced athletes, families and visiting sports teams.

Visitors are not simply watching a performance. They can discover authentic training methods, meet local coaches and directly support the club’s youth-development activities.

KKB is a young club whose official registration procedure is currently in progress. The project should therefore not be described as fully registered with the Federation until the competent provincial and national sporting authorities confirm completion of the process.

This administrative status does not prevent KKB from operating its training activities, developing its infrastructure or cooperating with other clubs. KKB communicates this point openly as part of its commitment to transparency.

KKB was initially developed through substantial personal investment by founder and president Robert Grégoire. Building the club from undeveloped land, installing infrastructure, purchasing equipment and maintaining regular activities represent an investment of approximately USD 30,000.

Continuing costs include coaches’ salaries, water, electricity, internet, equipment maintenance, meals, transport and participation in interclub activities.
