WKN has announced a new edition of its International Passport for October 2026, alongside a personalised card intended to accompany championship belts. The federation published both announcements on 1 October. The information available describes their purpose, but does not establish a retail price, dispatch date or universal eligibility conditions.
Two documents with different purposes
The International Passport is presented as a booklet recording activities within WKN: seminars, grading examinations, championships and official references. Referees, judges and supervisors are also included in the announcement, because an official’s assignments form a professional history of their own.
The champion card has a narrower role. WKN says champions will be able to write their name on a personalised card and keep it with their belt. It is a record associated with that sporting award. Neither item should be confused with a government travel passport, a visa, medical clearance or a guarantee of entry to a competition.
What to keep in a sporting archive
For an athlete or club, the useful starting point is a consistent identity and a dated account of each activity. Keep the event’s name, the discipline, the opponent where relevant, the result and the contact responsible for validating it. A photograph of a belt can illustrate an achievement, but a readable result sheet explains when and how that title was won.
Officials can apply the same principle to their assignments: the event, date, role and appointing organisation help distinguish a referee’s work from that of a judge or supervisor. Those details are more informative than a single undated claim of experience.
Availability still needs confirmation
The October announcement says the passport will be available through the WKN World Office and that further details about the champion card will follow. Before paying for a document or making travel plans around it, request the current conditions directly from the organisation. KKB is reporting these announcements and is not selling or issuing either document.
