A community club with room for you

KKB Kun Khmer Boxing is based in Battambang, Cambodia. Robert Grégoire is its founder, president, owner and head coach. The club’s social commitment is straightforward: training is completely free for all Khmer young people and participants. Visitors, travellers and expatriates are also welcome, from a first session to experienced athletic preparation.

These commitments describe the club’s stated operating model. Operating on a non-profit basis does not by itself establish registered NGO status or tax deductibility for contributions.

The fighter keeps what the fighter earns

KKB takes 0% commission from fight purses, victory bonuses and fighters’ income. Money earned in the ring belongs to the fighter and their family.

Training puts observation, footwork, evasion and defence first. Respect for an opponent and a technical points victory matter more than seeking a destructive knockout. The purpose is to support a young person’s sporting future and life beyond the ring.

Defensive skill cannot remove the risk of injury or concussion. Non-contact training is available as a separate choice; sparring and competition require a different discussion about contact, supervision and readiness.

The Sunday table

Robert currently pays personally for Sunday food and drinks for KKB students and visiting clubs’ fighters and staff. Sharing a meal continues the lesson of the gym: meet each other, exchange experience and respect the people who may stand across the ring.

The club is still being developed. Coaching pay, water, electricity, maintenance, equipment and construction costs fall mainly on its president. Competition travel adds transport, accommodation and the practical costs of taking a team away.

Take part in a practical way

A small contribution can help with drinking water or a shared meal. An equipment donation can fund a specific item after its reference and current cost have been confirmed. A business can discuss a gym placement and proportionate editorial visibility. A visitor can train, learn and contribute according to their means.

  • Give from $1, checking the actual payment fee before confirmation.
  • Sponsor equipment selected for a real training need.
  • Try Kun Khmer, bodyweight conditioning or a private session by arrangement.
  • Discuss a physical and digital sponsorship with Robert.

Federation registration

The club says it is finalising official registration with the Kun Khmer Federation. Additional international fundraising channels are being prepared, subject to approval and platform eligibility. Confirmed availability will be announced; the existing public payment methods remain on the donation page.
